I know I say this after every race but here I go again; the first 3/4 of the race is follow the leader and the last 1/4 is a slug fest.  Don't get me wrong I enjoy seeing the BIG ONE as long as noone gets hurt, however is this really racing?

The new car has proven to be safer so lets take the plates off.  They have designed the cars to not lift off and fly throgh the air like they did when Nascar decided to put the plates on in the first place so why are they still still racing with them.

With out the plates I think the race would actually be more entertaining and even safer as the cars would not be so bunched up. It just dosn't make sense anymore.

If they need to slow the cars down some then change the jetting or put a bigger wicker bill on the thing, just give the guys the ability to pass and pull away from the pack.

did u even watch the race? seriously... follow the leader? There were a ton of lead changes throughout the race. Also it is fun to watch cars maneuver their way in the pack and get in the draft, fall out of the draft, and take others out of the draft. Why would u even want to take the restrictor plates off these cars???? I mean seriously this is what a non-restrictor plate track is like on fast tracks.....

One driver leads the first half of the race, unable to keep up on adjustments like the a few others. another driver takes the lead as the first leader fades back some. a few pit stop strategies shake things up some. Finally they come out of the last pit stop and 1 of two things happen. A) 1 driver gets out to a huge lead and we see one other driver can chase him down.B) leader did not pit and we are left wondring if they have enough gas. Oh I fogot to mention the nap between laps 50 and 150.

By no means am I supporting 'plate racing', but I would have to say that 'Dega was probably the most exciting race of the season so far.  Over 50 lead changes by the end of the day, most of which not results for wrecks/cautions.  Plate racing is obviously not the purest form of racing, but it adds a variable for the drivers and makes them drive differently.  The ability to draft and use your teammates has always been important in NASCAR and I think is actually showcased with the plate races.
