This from the DNJ.com:
Joe Craddock and Dwight Dasher are like two perfect political candidates, both waiting for the other to make a misstep to create a winning margin in a tight race.
No such errors were made in MTSU's spring practice, and the pair appear more like running mates than contenders for the starting quarterback job with the season ahead.
I think I've done what I needed to do," Craddock said. "I think I've played up to my potential. I've played well, but I think Dwight has played really good, too. I just leave that decision to coach."
As he hinted before spring practice began, coach Rick Stockstill will wait until fall camp to name a starting quarterback. There was little reason to downgrade either Craddock or Dasher when spring practice closed last week.
"Nothing has changed. I thought Dwight and Joe had really good springs," Stockstill said. "I'm very pleased with their progress and the way they performed. I think Dwight got a lot better this spring in a lot of areas, and I think Joe continued to get better, as well.
"I'm very, very pleased with both of those guys."
When Stockstill lists his top four or five offensive players, Craddock and Dasher are both included. Together, the pair had the Sun Belt's second-best passer rating last season and combined to gain more than 3,000 yards.
