Some GREAT SEC STAT's to remind to the goof ball big ten fans.
LSU's 2007 BCS National Championship is the Southeastern Conference's fourth in the 10 years of the BCS. Tennessee won the BCS National Championship in 1998, LSU in 2003 and Florida in 2006.
The SEC is the first conference to win back-to-back BCS titles.
The SEC is 11-4 all-time in BCS bowl games. The SEC has won four BCS bowl games in the last two seasons.
The SEC's seven bowl wins this season is an all-time high for any conference. SEC had six last season (previous high).
The SEC's 7-2 bowl record this season is first among the automatic qualifying BCS conferences (.778 percent) and second overall (Mountain West - 4-1, .800 percent) this season.
This season, the SEC posted a 47-10 record against non-conference foes (.825 percent), which is the highest percentage of all FBS conferences. 47 wins ties an SEC high all-time (last season, had 47).
The SEC now has 184 bowl wins in its history, which is tops in FBS.
The SEC's bowl win percentage of 52.8 (184-164-13) is percentage points ahead of the ACC's 143-128-5 percentage of 52.7 for tops among FBS conferences. Records are using 2007 conference alignments.
FACTs not spin, WE ARE THE BEST.

Once again, is the SEC a team. No, quit piggybackin a whole conference. I think everyone would agree that in the last 10 years the SEC is the best conference. Who cares, start backin the Gamecocks and people would have more respect for you. Go Buckeyes, even if they play in the shitty Big Ten.

Yeah, and with all that vast superiority, when the SEC runs into the Weak Ten in bowl games they go 12-10. Gosh, how impressive is that?

MadCityJack.............
Florida has beaten the last 2 years the following teams OOC...............
- BIGEAST ( Georgetown, Villanova, Rutgers)
- PAC10 (UCLA twice, Oregon and Arizona State all on the road)
- BIG10 (OSU twice, Purdue)
- And Billy Donovan dominates the ACC head to head.
Does this mean the SEC is better than these other conferences in basketball? Absolutely not.
The BIG10 and the SEC has something in common this year................they both suck in basketball.

PercyH...one of the unfortunate fallouts of these Cassholl postings is they suggest that I have a disregard for the SEC, which is anything but the truth. There's no question that SEC football is much more superior than the Big Ten right now. Heck, I enjoy watching football from the SEC, which is broadcast on the CBS affiliate here. As far as basketball goes, I don't think either conference "sucks." Look at what Tennessee accomplished and Vanderbilt...and look at what the SEC is doing in the NIT. And, the Big Ten is still alive and kicking in the Sweet Sixteen. The conferences don't have the strength of the Big East or Big 12 or Pac 10, but they don't suck, and they don't play HORRIBLE basketball as our dipstick friend Cassholl contends.
These posts I make are aimed at Cassholl, not the SEC. I have a lot of respect for the SEC and its fans...I don't count Cassholl among them.

The verdict was out long ago when only 4 teams made it out of 11.

I hope Florida can figure out how to beat UMASS so they can get beat down by the Buckeyes again.
I hope you'll stop hanging your hat on games with no relevance. Its good experience for both teams but its not an elite match-up if it does happen. Florida will win the next one if they can get past UMASS.
That'll make it 3-1 in basketball the last 2 years with ofcourse the 1-0 football series winning both National Title games.
I want to give a big thanks to the following Buckeye teams for bringing easy Gator National Titles.........
- The 1996 squad. All that talent and nada
- The 2006 football squad. All that talent........and nada again.
- The 2007 basketball squad. All that talent, a true big man.........with nada
