Yes, parity is here. And I don't expect that too many people would be surprised to see a couple of upsets...ALL of the lower seeds? That would be shocking. Extraordinary and you would hit the jackpot if you be that parlay in Vegas. Lets get real. I'd guess you'd get 10 to one on half the lower seeds win, let alone all!

The Red Sox and Yankees will always be the Red Sox and Yankees. Duke and North Carolina will always be Duke and North Carolina... Super Powers with occasional slumps (see Kentucky) but somehow in short order finding their way back to the top of sport. You see these so called Super Powers simply have deeper pockets and more powerful people invested in them winning. The Davidson’s of the world are great, I love them. But Curry is only at Davidson because his talent was way underrated by the "big" schools.

While the Cinderella’s will continue to inspire hope in all of us, the Super Powers will ever and for always be the perennial dominators. (Albeit not as continuously or with such ease as in years past).

I don't know.  Tell that to to the New York Knicks or to the Boston Celtics during their slump in the 90's.  Also, Georgetown went through a long period when they were no better than middle-of-the-pack.  Even the Yankees and Steelers went more than 2 decades without winning a title before they did so within the last 10 years.  And for many of these years, they weren't even among the "best" in their sport.

Now you've changed the game. In pro-football (the Bengals got better) and even the NBA (except the Clippers who still suck right?) to a lesser extent, have salary caps and set up to kind of even the playing field favoring your argument without a doubt.  I am mainly speaking of college althletics and Baseball, where deep pockets and powerfull alumni have much more leway than salay capped sports. Well WV is only down 7 at half good luck in the second half, I'll be rooting for you (against my bracket)!

Good point.  I actually wasn't sure if baseball had a salary cap, cause I don't follow it very much.  WVU made a pretty good comeback there towards the end of the first half.  Let's see if Alexander can get it going.
