Where do i select the Lakers as being the 30th overall?  I cant stand watchign them play D with no Bynum or Gasol, i just feel like shooting myself haha.  Seems like everyone stands around and watches the opposing team lay it up, except Turiaf.

have to agree with you sportsfreak... with out interior defense from Andrew Bynum or Pau Gasol, this team is lost inside and Kobe Bryant is not enough to consistantly beat teams like the Hornets or the Spurs.... this is one stat i will enjoy watching the haters and the homers dispute

i voted for the Spurs for having the best team defense because i rarely see any team scoring over 100 points on them night after night.  I hate you b@st@rd$.......lol

I'd vote for the Spurs based solely on defense stats you provided.  This is cause the East has two teams in the top four and the West has four.  The Spurs division is the toughest in defense of the top six as well.  Thus, the East teams could be inflated a bit due to compeitiion issues.  The Spurs numbers however are not likely to be anything but what they are.

Yet, I wouldn't pick the Spurs to win it all this year although wouldn't be surprised if they did.  Nor would I pick the Lakers.

Defense wins games, I agree.  But it isn't the only thing that wins game.  So if that is all you have; it may not be enough.

I think Laker fans and Kobe fans are excited about their team; which they should be.  And want them to win it all, which is certainly possible.  Same with the Celtics, Spurs, Pistons, etc.

The media picks someone knew every day.  LOL

What I do know is this.  The West is stacked and to pick the winner this year won't be an easy task.  As for the East it is up to three teams:  C's, Pistons, and Cavs.  Any other pick is homerism.  For the West, you could pick the top 9 teams and have a valid argument for all but the one team that didn't make the playoffs.
