better than the two top tier teams in the NL East, NYM and Phillies. You just had to slip that in there, didn't you? LOL. Anyway, the NL East. I agree with ETMB's comments other than the above incorrect statement.

not often but I disagree with ETMB, I voted for the AL East, I think the Phillies and Mets are equal to the Yanks and Sox, but the Bluejays will be a couple notches better than the Braves making the Al East a threeway race. I don't think Atlanta will be able to hang come mid August. IMO the most competetive division will be the NL West.

Are you serious?????????
The NL as a whole is a joke......The Rays would be competing for the East title this year in the NL.....Cmon, there is a reason that people think Santana can approach 25 wins this year....Its not ONLY b/c of the lack of the DH, its b/c the 7 & 8 hitters in the NL accross the board are disgraceful automatic outs.........
What did the Rockies win 25 straight heading into the WS only to get thoroughly dominated by the AL's best in 4 games.........????
Red Sox FAR > >> > Mets
Yankees FAR> >> >> Phillies
Blue Jays about = Braves
Rays FAR> >> >> Marlins
Orioles about = Nationals......

My post was written before your 2nd post, but it's almost as relavent to the 2nd one. If you really want me to, I will find every single flaw in both of those posts. Tell me you're joking with these posts.

Nope, Serious as a doorknob (whatever the hell that means)
I want you to start by telling me a # 8 hitter in the NL worthy of being in an AL lineup...Lets start there!.

Fine. Matt Diaz. He'll bat 7th or 8th for the Braves this year, and it's a rare AL line-up that he wouldn't crack. I didn't even have to think. In the next couple minutes, I'll be countering your first 2 posts point by point. Enjoy.

Fair enough, I praised your Braves in my post...........eh, Diaz? Ok, I would say he could crack about 50% of AL lineups......BUT you did have to pick a guy from the best or 2nd best lineup in the NL.........

I'm with dirt.
Both the Yankees and the Red Sox would destroy all 5 teams in the NL East in a 5 game series.
So you start to take a look at the second tier in the AL East...I would put the Blue Jays about on a par with the Mets and Phillies. Definitely superior to the other 3 teams in the division.
The Rays are going to win 85+ games this year, and they would be a lock for second place in the NL East, if not able to make a run at the division title.
The Orioles stink, but the top 4 in the division are way stronger than what the NL East has to offer.
We'll keep an eye on the Interleague records this year, but I like the AL East a LOT better in terms of their overall quality.

Note:
7 game series > 5 game series.
Sorry for the typo
