DePodesta- I mean DPWTV-
Please don't get me started on the Dodgers Braintrust and please don't make me put my copy and paste skills to work because ladodgers.com has two wonderful articles on Clayton Kershaw that contradict what your 'reporter' has to say in this article. We all know where CK is going. My point is, if we are going to put our best players on the field, Kershaw is the Dodgers best option for a number five and at the very least, a situational lefty. As I have stated before, this kid is probably the most highly regarded pitching prospect (by many accounts) in two decades. This spring he made some of the best hitters in both leagues look like boys to a man. I don't need someone to copy and paste an article for me, nor do I need someone to state the extremely obvious for me. Again, CK is an anomoly. Typical baseball logic does not apply to the level of talent and maturity this guy brings to the table.
Everyday, more and more teams are following the baseball model of the Florida Marlins, and the really good teams are mixing their farms with the veterans and turning out the most exciting baseball in years. Today's conventional baseball wisdom is not "conventional".
Finally, I'm not against you or anyone else stating their opinion, but please...going forward...state your opinion and not someone else's. However, I am opposed to someone starting a new thread to dispute what someone else has stated on a separate but very relevant thread. Especially, when you don't respond on that thread with a reasonable position (you didn't respond at all). It's as if you think by starting a new thread, we are supposed to forget about the issues and points we raised in the first thread...or, maybe you just don't want anyone else to see the very good points someone else has made in direct opposition of your view. In either case, it takes away from the board.
