I realize this post is a million responses removed from the original post... butin response ro Wang getting shelled in spring.. let me give some people some food for thought:
1- Wang has been expirimenting with throwing new pitches this season, aka, curveball, change-up to go along with his sinker and slider.. so that might have somethig to do with his numbers being bad. He also had 7 strikeouts the other game. wihich is months worth for k's him. If u had any comon sense/baseball wise, that would tell u, he is working on something new. When a player knows he is the ace of the staff and knows he is making the team, you can do things like this.
2- Since when did spring training numbers mean anything. 1- Look at Roy Halladay's numbers right now in the spring, you people that tell me Wang sucks, wanna tell me Roy Halladay sucks too?????
3- Butch huskey once ht 12 hrs in ONE spring season for the Mets. I don't he hit 12 in his 5 years of MLB service with the mets. Take your spring training numbers and shove them.
4- Wang has won 19 games two years in a row. He has only been here 3 years. You might want to find another player to pick on. Like,maybe, i dont know, , .....Clay Bucholz and his 8.00 ERA? He's real good. the Yankees had a guy like him once. His name was Sam Millitello. I see alot on common, those two Bucholtz/Millitello. Like the same guy, one extra base hit, and 15 years later.
