I went into this league assuming I would have no Dodgers, and I don't.
As for the draft,
D Town..........I forget. Did you draft with us or did you auto-bot? I ask, as I have yet to get my head around Todd Jones at # 18 in the 2nd rd. My guess, he would have been there at least at # 180 in the 20th. Just saying. That was, and still is, a head scratcher supreme.
In general, and as I thought, a lot of natural Dodger homerism creeped in on some come mid draft. I still want friends here, so I won't nit pick that more than this.
The next semi surprise for me came at # 99 where Dodger Blue picked J.J Hardy in the 10th rd. I little eary I think, but not tragic. He made it up though by getting Vernon Wells at # 102 in the 11th. # 1 unfortunate pick goes to the Kings of Flatbush with Salty at # 116 in the 12th. It was not know then that he was not get the starting gig. Definately an ouch. My best pick value wise came in the 12th when Konerko slipped to me at # 112.
Mr all cool & blue comes in here with back to back picks that are worth a mention. Mr end of the snake # 10 pick got messers 130 & 131. I think James Shields in a steal in the 13th rd, but Liriano will be starting the season in AAA, so park him on the bench for April and hope the rest of your staff can pick up his slack for you.
Dodger Blue nailed a good late pick in Joe Blanton in the 17th at 162. The A's will not be great, but that won't hurt his e.r.a or w.h.i.p numbers. I have a late pick that could pay huge dividends, if his playing trend since about August of last year holds up, Rick Ankiel at # 209 in the 21st.
