If this is to be a Notre Dame message board, why do you think the FL, MI, TOS fans like to view it? Maybe they should spread their Notre Dame hate speeck on their own team's message boards. Let us Notre Dame fans live in our own little fantasy world, and dream of the years when the Irish would crush opponents - the 60's, 70's and 80's. It all runs in cycles... Notre Dame owned the Trojans in the 90's - now they own us this decade. Notre Dame copied many things from the U of M and surpassed the Wolverines - get over it.

You used the wrong termanology. Those people you speak of are not fans. They are blind haters who sole purpose of participaing in college football message boards is to jump on ND every time they slip up. Their college football knowledge is minimal, and it shows with virtually every post.
You have to treat this kind like 5 year old kids. It's in their nature to be annoying and attention-starved. However, we as the fans of the greatest university in the land, have to step up and keep these haters at bay.....sometimes with the turn of the cold shoulder and other times with a spank in the butt.
I asked myself the same question when I joined the board last year. However as time went on, I realized that no matter what, posters from all over were going to come over here and talk trash about ND. This is something that all of us are just going to have to deal with wheather we like it, or not. I agree that we should be left alone on here, but it does not work that way!
it happens on all the boards...im a fan of teams that people love to hate (packers, duke basketball, notre dame football and the cubs) and i see on all of these pages people who are "fans" of other teams but post three quarters of theirs on anothers teams site usually mentioning how much they suck, some homophobic comment, or some other sort of fifth grade put down. its obviously their way of getting their rocks off...hahaha watch me say something dumb and make people mad....just try to ignore it the best you can and never try to use logic...its like water and food after midnight to a gremlin...it just makes them uglier and meaner

If you must hate something, hate our great tradition, academic standards, and long, long, great history. Most FSU fans and others are just jealous because they have more players with arrest records than championships. GO ND!!!

an SEC championship or a Nation Title. Ask a Michigan fan why Bo never won a National Title. Ask a Miami fan when was the last time they played for a National Title. Then ask them when was the last time they played before a sellout crowd at home.
So if you are going to slam ND, give it your best shot. Enjoy your time being better then ND. Your days are numbered.

As for the hate. Like many of you have mentioned. You either love them or hate them. They are the NY Yankees of college football. They have fans across the country and across the world for that matter. They have the most exposure of any team and unquestionably, the most prestigious traditon that willl never be surpassed, regardless of how successful they are from here on out.
The Haters are what make our beloved Irish great. They bitch and moan about the NBC deal, they get on our boards and they watch the games to see us lose.
Without the Irish, they would have to cheer for their God Forsaken teams.
