Ore is no longer on the football team, its a shame but exciting for the up in coming freshmen. + Kenny Lewis was a freshmen at my High School when I was a senior. (Remember he play pro baseball for awhile.)
Either way go Hokies!

When did this happen?  Did he do something again or did he get hurt?  At least we got a top recruit at RB to help fill the void he would leave.  We are so much better when we run the ball first!!

when did this happen?

if it's true, i don't think it hurts us too much. he seemed to be running scared last year, scared to deliver hits, couldn't break tackles, etc.

maybe the competition he was gonna have i.e.---Ryan Williams, Darren Evans, Kenny Lewis, was too much for him to handle. or the coaches got tired of his attitude.

Wow - what a scoop.

Seriously KMC - provide some verifiable facts or a link or something, please!   Your information may be 100% spot on - but you must know that we're going to want to confirm it.  I see no news of this anywhere right now.

When I see a 'scoop' like this with no verifiable facts to back it up - and no less than 6 grammatical/spelling errors in your 2 sentence post - I want to scream!

Well....The saga has officially come to an end. Brandon Ore is officially off the Virginia Tech football team. This really doesnt come as a surprise... Ore has been on thin Ice for the last 6 months and one slip up would probably do it for him. More coming later.
This is from HokieNation

I don't know who this guy is but he is on myspace, he leaks out recruiting info constantly and has NEVER been wrong. Such as this was the last one he leaked

DeShawn Painter has narrowed his list down to 4: Florida, Louisville, UVA, and Virginia Tech.

Deshawn is the brother of 2008 VT commit Vinston Painter who is going to play offensive tackle for Frank Beamer on the football team.

Painter racked up over 40 scholarship offers including offers from Duke, UNC, Maryland, and Memphis. He doesnt have a time table for a decision yet but expect it to come within the next few months.

The Hokies have room for 1 more in the class of 2009 and it seems like Greenberg has his sights set on the 6-foot-8 center from Norfolk, Virginia to fill that spot.

If I am wrong I'm sorry but I don't think I'm wrong.

BTW sorry about leaving off the ed on played but I never figured anyone ON THIS PAGE (meaning the Hokie page) would be a jackass about me not proof reading my post.

Hmmm... I knew he was considering the draft but pulled out...  Dude, keep us posted.  Ore didn't show much of the flash and bang last season as he had the one prior, most likely due to the injury, but if he were healthy.

On the plus side, we do have some solid RB recruits signed up for next season.  We have lots of questions at LB and the D in general, a few at WR, and, of course, the revolving QB question, but the list of prospects are impressive.  What looks to be a rebuilding year could be banner.  Can't wait to see what Beamer gives us come fall!

GO HOKIES!!

well i hate to see him go being a rising rs senior. i dont think it will hurt too much though with lewis and williams and i think there were a couple of freshmen that were redshirted this past year that are supposed to be good. cant think of the names right off the top of my head. (maybe ore can take stinespring with him)

Yea I'll be completely honest, I don't think this affects us that much. Ore had a piss poor season this year, he was a preseason heisman hopeful. He missed the last practice before a BCS bowl game, and that wasn't his first team violation. The kid's heart wasnt in it, or he would have performed like a professional.

GO HOKIES
