I have Reid Brignac as a keeper in my fantasy league.  Anybody know what's happening with him?

he probably wont make the opening day roster if thats what your asking....if he does he will be a reserve infielder....right now ben zobrist and andy cannizaro are fighting for the utility spot and both have had some nagging injuries...the Rays have high hopes for the guy but he is still very young...21 i think...they have shown a propensity under this ownership group not to rush players to the big leagues....if its a long term keeper league hang onto him...he may only be a season or 2 away....or he could be used as trade bait if the rays find themselves in playoff contention later this year....if thats the caase he may be in the big leagues as early as september of this year......the kid has plenty of talent and the rays are well aware of his potential.....so like i said if your in a deep keeper league he is definately worth hanging onto...if the league is a short term keeper league he isnt going to help you for a couple of years....IMHO

Brignac is likely headed to Triple-A Durham to open the season.

Offensively he's sound - it's his defense that still needs plenty of work.  With Bartlett at short, and plenty of utility guys on the roster that can backup Bartlett, Brignac needs to play everyday - and he'll only be able to do that at Durham.

In minors.  I picked him on my fantasy keeper league (25 rounds..13 keepers + 5 DL spots and 2 Minor league spots ) last year in 19th round..just a $2 or $3 spot....

I will keep him on roster again..... we get 3 years at each round before we have to move him up $5 value (rounds roughly equivalent to values in a regular auction ...  don't know if my no-brainer to keep him is the same as your situation. the question really was, does he make my 13 keeper list? Going to minors now is no biggie for me...
