Here are some Players the Irish are going hard at for the recruiting class in 2009.

John Anevski (OL)- He is from Cinci, Ohio. He would be a great pick up for ND. Theres some bad news and some good news. Bad news his brother plays at BC. The good News he is good Friends with Kyle Rudolph. They played at the same High School.

Xavier Nixon (OL)- This is ND #1 Target on the offence side. Word is he is one of the best OL to come out of High school since Joe Thomas. They say he can start from Day 1. He is on alot of schools list but said ND will be in his Top List.

Devon Kennard (DE)- He is from Phoenix Arizona. He is Sacking Machine. ND will go real strong after him this is another player that can come right in a start. They say he is a freak. If we had him and E. Johnson ND would be really scary.

Jamarcus McFarland (DT)- He is from Texas. It would be tough to get him out of state but he has said he likes ND. The news out on him is he is class higher then O. Hunter. What a great pick up he would be.

These are not players that are 100% going to be at ND, these are players that ND will go real hard to get. These are there Top 4.

Here is a break down of what the irish will do in the 2009 class.

1 quarterback

2 running backs

2 wide receivers

1 tight end

1 interior offensive lineman

3 offensive tackles (hopefully 2 that can play left tackle)

1 nose guard

2 defensive ends

1 outside backer

2 inside backers

2 safeties (if the staff feels both Blanton and Slaughter will be corners)

1 corner (again, if they feel Blanton and Slaughter play corner)

I looked it up and they should have about 20 scholarships for next year unless they keep alot of 5 year guys.
