We have a poor recruiting class this year.  How does Duke have a better football recruiting class than we do?  Al Groh has to do a better job of recruiting.

Keep in mind, however, a couple of things.  Kansas and Missouri averaged recruiting classes in the 50's for the past 5 years and they were top 5 teams. Our best recruiting class in decades was full of players that didn't make it four years (Brooks) or were severely overrated. (M. Johnson)

The best thing we can do is to continue to develop who we get, (Heath Miller was a 2-star HS player) and stop overthinking the players.  (we took the Virginia HS all-time offense leader and turned him into a DB who gets burned 4-5 times every game)

Recruiting rankings are as reliable as the stock market.  Just for fun, go pull up the Top 100 HS players from 1998 and see what became of those guys.

We are on the rise!  Say it enough times and you too will begin to believe it.

Go Hoos!

Good point Wild Olive.  Virginia has a knack for taking seemingly poor recruits and turning them into solid contributors worthy of being drafted by an NFL team.  I sure hope that's true with this class.

I don't know why they keep Vic Hall at cornerback.  He's a natural on the offensive side of the ball.

Hopefully they won't do the same thing with next year's only verbal recruit so far, running back Alex Owah.  He goes to Harrisonburg HS, and is very productive.  I've seen him play, he's quick and pretty powerful for his size.

Let's go Hoos!

Yea, but you guys have had top 25 recruiting classes and couldn't coach them to success so how will you with these guys?
