I was going to use the same argument that Oregon State Univerisity was established before Ohio State University, but technically we went by a few other names before we became Oregon State University in 1927.
Either way it doesn't matter because Vtterrapin has egg on his face either way he tries to argue the OSU or UMD acroynyms. As OSUbeavsrec pointed out the University of Minnesota, Deuluth was using the UMD acroynym before the University of Maryland. The University of Maryland is just like Oregon State University in that they went by other college names before settling on their current name but the college was established before Minnesota's university. So if he argues that UMD was not "stolen" from Minnesota, then he must concede that OSU was not "stolen" by Oregon.
