Woohoo! Success! I managed to remove the old teams from my tab. Here is what you have to do (entirely illogical, but this is CBS).
1. Go to "My Account".
2. Click on the "My Settings" tab.
3. Click on "Fantasy" menu item under My Settings.
4. In the "Logo Management" section, next to the dropdowns, there is a "Tips" box. Look for the teeny-tiny link hidden there that says "Can't find an old team logo? Maybe it's hidden. Click here to check." (if you are lucky, the link will work from this post, but I doubt it."
5. On this page, you can hide a team - and they will disappear from your dropdown (even if you get an error page - in which case you have to do the exercise all over again).
It is easy. Eh.... wait.... it is not. Well it is, once you know how to do it. Figuring out is like detective work though.
