I really like the disclaimer as to your favorite team. That will be both enlightening and a safety of sorts. It would be hard for a pollster to put their team too high if their team is plastered to their ballot.

I like all the added extras, and though I know how much work it would be to do all this, I think it would be a blast.

I am going to throw out a sugggestion & admittedly it's coming from someone who is not a computer geek.  With all the ideas & suggestions being bantered about, for the sake of The Greeks sanity and whoever is helping him out, less is better.  If this doesn't look to be too daunitng of a task then fine add all the ideas & bells & whistles now but I'd be more inclined to get the poll up & running and then add ideas as you go along.

I've said my peace now I'll crawl back under my rock.

Well you should be able to tell that from the users profile. These aren't anonymous polls. I think we post our weekly polls on our blogs for all to see. This way its an open process.

Also, I'm keeping track of everyones poll for every week in the program so if we need to go back and look at past votes we can.

Hey bud. The computer program is being made to make it easier for Greek. He won't have to do anything accept collate all the polls.

Adding extra stuff to the program only takes a few minutes and it's a one time thing. Actually running it will be the exact same, so it won't be a huge amount of effort. The onl y big undertaking will be making the program from scratch. Once it is done adding stuff isn't very complex.

Thanks for the concern though.

So if you have any ideas just throw them out there. All final decisions rest with Greek though.

That's fair G8tr. I hadn't thought of it that way. i thought that since some usernames were indicative of their favorite team, that the others shoudl maybe be on the same playing field without extra research.

Either way, the accountability is there. I mean, in most cases we all know who is a fan of  which team anyway.

Oh and the only other thing that would be good, I think, is to have some sort of indication at the beginning as to which team each voter "follows," "supports," or "roots for."  Just as a disclaimer.  It's pretty obvious if someone's screenname is "TebowforPresident," or "Jawjafan4life," but others are not so obvious.

Again, not to impugn anyone's objectivity, but just as a disclaimer.

Howlongsitbeen....does my screenname give me away?    Maybe I will change it and go covert.

If we had enough folks from different part of the country and supporters of different teams and conferences, we could tell each voter to not include their own team in the poll.  Nah, guess that wouldn't work. Folks like me f
