Hey fellas, it's been a while so I'd thought I'd stop in to say good luck this weekend. It's a perfect opportunity for us to lessen the gap and perhaps move into 2nd place in the division. Great series against the Braves, take care, Ram Tough.

At this point the Braves have been dispatched as what they are, a fourth place team....and I'm still not sold on the Fins being there at the end, which leads me to the Mets, the only team I'm afraid of at this point. So after all the ups and downs of both teams, the Phils more recently, here we stand, a battle over four days to either tighten things up or give us more breathing room....looking forward to it Ram, wouldn't have it any other way!!!!

The Mets board has been pretty respectful to the Phils this week.. even after today's heartbreaking loss(for their fans) and great win for us.... and now this nice post? What's going on here.. ??? lol anyways.. 1 win is great , but we need to close out this series strong, I'll take a tie.. but 3-1 would be real nice..

Philly, it is what it is in NY. We're a sub .500 baseball team and are no where close to being as talanted as your roster is right now. I'm one fan that can admit to that. Anyone that knows anything about baseball knows that plain and simple. I had a feeling it was going to be this way when Omar Manaya picked up the option on Moises Alou and signed Luis Castillo to a four year deal. And even though Carlos Delgado has shown some life at times, these three players have killed us all year long with their injuries and poor play. So with that, I feel you're the team to beat in the NL east and will be until we make some dirastic changes.

Ram,
A very honest assessment.. of your team.. look on the bright side. .you just collected your 3rd Lombardi trophy out of nowhere...and u get to defend it in a month.
The Phils with a expected deadline deal to aid the ailing pitching staff will be rejuvenated for the stretch run, and the locker room atmosphere is close knit.. something the Mets lack right now.. I think that is the Major difference in how we were able to come back last year and u guys won't.
Locker room drama has been widespread all year as your team struggled.. Wright, Wagner, Reyes....
while last year the Phils never pointed the finger.. never scuffled.. and were able to hold the ship together and believe!

Nice win for the Mets, showed some life, never said it would be easy, Phils need to take the next two to put their stamp on things...Florida seems to be imploding right now...bummer, everyone lost, and we let this one slip away...could've picked up a game on everybody...ok, time to regroup!!! Go Phils!!!
