It's early, I know. And to make a prediction has never been harder than this year, so everyone's prediction is hardly anything more than a complete guess. But it might be fun. The 2008 schedule is... Utah-home. Miami (ohio)- home. Notre Dame- away. Wisconsin-home. Illinois-home. Toledo-home. Penn St.- away. Michigan St.- home. Purdue-away. Minnesota- away. Northwester-home. OSU-away. This isn't too tough of a schedule, but we know from last year noone should be overlooked. I think we'll start off with 3 wins. But wisconsin might be a tough game, but wisconsin doesn't have a proven QB either. Illinois we should be able to handle, no mendenhaul. Toledo we should beat. Penn st. will be a tough road game. I'm not too sure about the MSU game, but I really hope we beat them. Purdue will be a tough team to beat. They are getting a lot better and might be up in the top 3 or 4 in the Big Ten at the end of the year. We should be able to handle Northwestern. And the Big OSU game I'm not too confident about. So in conclusion I say we could be somewhere around 8-4. 9-3. (not including the bowl game). which isn't too bad for the first year.

I agree, the realist in me says 8-4, the homer in me says 9-3 or possibly even 10-2.  We should have a decent rebuilding year.

The Utah game will be a challenge but i think we can pull it off. Miami of Ohio we can win. Notre Dame will be improved from last year but i think that they will still have problems and that if we can forget where we must play we can take that victory also. With the big 10 schedule i predict 4 wins and also Toledo a win giving Michigan an 8-4 record and yet another bowl bid.

I think 8-4 would be a pretty solid guess.  I got them starting out at 3-0, splitting with Wisky/Illinois to go to 4-1.  After that, I have a loss @ PSU, a loss @ tOSU and a disappointing defeat (at home) to Michigan State.  They've dodged alot of bullets from the Spartans over the past few years, but I think this year it finally catches up with them.

Good luck!

I think we lose to Wisco, Illinois, and OSU...so 9-3 would be my guess.  I hope we beat one of those three though, and obviously you know WHO i would want to beat the most!!

I dont know what it is but I have a strong premonition that we'll be walking into the Horseshoe 11-0, I know alot of people would call that homerism but I just dont see use giving up games to Wisky..Illinois..  the OSU game is gonna be a fight as always but I see at least 11-0 going into Buckeye Nation

I don't care what the record is until Nov 22.  My premonition is that Michigan stuns a hushed, grieving shoe by pulling the upset, a la 1969.  That will put an exclamation mark after the phrase "New Michigan" and lead RRod to entertain offers from the Falcons, the Lions and the Niners.

10-2.
