Even though he's no longer a Cardinal, I expect Edmonds to get an ovation when he steps up to the plate at Busch Stadium this weekend. After all, THEY traded him. Edmonds had 70 RBI's in just 115 games at the new stadium, and hopefully his hot streak continues through the week (and later). I'm sure it will be different to be on the other side of the rivarly, but I can assure you Edmonds now bleeds Cubbie Blue....What a month, Jimmy Ballgame! Keep it up!

To watch Jim Edmonds knock a homerun during the Cardinals Cubs game will be hesterical. The Cardinals get rid of Edmonds from him to come back and be a real thorn in there side.

I do not htink no one could have expected Jim Edmonds on the Cubs roster this long.

I agree with you there...now it looks like we'll have him for the entire playoff run unless he falls off a cliff (hitting-wise)...

San Diego was not a good fit for Edmonds. Its is possibly the most extreme pitcher's ballpark in the majors (Right up there with the Washibgton National's park). Once he got into a more hitter friendly arena he regained his confidence and returned to a form closer to his past.

Edmonds may be in his last season but he i helping us right now.

I'd like to see Reed Johnson play left tonight and move DeRosa back to second.

I'd also like to have Reed lead off and move Fukudome back to the #5 or #6 slot

I would not say that Edmonds bleeds Cubbie blue.  He will not keep up the production for the rest of the season.  He will get hurt, I can assure you.

Anyone see the St. Louis Dispatch article on Jimmy Edmonds.  It said the fans should not cheer for him and that he is part of the enemy now.  The article was written by Bernie M. who is an idiot.  Plus a lot of blogs on the Dispatch blame the Cardinal loss yesterday on Ted Barrett, the umpire.  Maybe if Troy Glaus didn't pout like a 2 year old he may of gotten a call on the 3-2 pitch.  That is what he gets for showing the ump up.  He argued more about the strike call then Lou did aout the check swing last week.
