Is Zhamnov officially off the books?  How many years left on Fernandez' contract? Is Murray definitely gone (hopefully)? Lastly, what is their gameplan with Wideman in regards to arbitration?

1) Zhamnov is finally off the books nice job Mike O'Connell 2) Manny Fernandez has one year left on his contract at $4.5 million we will see what they do with him right now it looks like he will split time with Thomas next season. 3) As of July 3rd Murray is still part of the team there has been rumors the Bruins would buy him out but I have not heard anything one way or the other. 4) The Bruins are still trying to avoid arbitration with Wideman but both sides are fall apart my guess is they get this done before the arbitration hearing.

Go Bruins!!!!!!

a couple of things *bowlingg1

One manny's contract is around 4.8. 2nd Murray might not be traded/bought out. If Wideman cannot agree on a fair deal then Murray may have to bee bought out. But theres talks about trading him along with other players to srink the roster.

And yes, Zhamnov's contracct is finally over. Everyone wants Murray gone. The guy can score 20-30 goals. we need to get Schaeffer gone.

There is a great article on Boston.com today by Fluto Shinzawa regarding the Bruins current state of affairs. He gets into specific detail about Wideman and Murray's status. Another interesting point was that Schaeffer played on a fractured foot for over a month. He also made mention of how he stepped up his play at the end of the regular season and carried that energy into the playoffs. I, along with most Bruins fans, expected big things from him last season. I really think, with him healthy, those expectations will come to fruition this year. So please, let's hold off on the Schaeffer bashing for now!

I agree trooper Peter Schaeffer played well at the end of the regular season and the playoffs I would'nt mind seeing him next year on the roster. Hey with all of the injuries during the season more players the better.

kat2mars2 It will be interesting to see how much Wideman does get he is important to the team the Bruins will do whatever it takes to get a deal done. But I would not be surprised if a deal was done to clear up some cap space invovling Murray.
