I think if they do land Sabathia then they have to at least when the wildcard and if they dont some moves need to be made with in the organization i dont care if they fire ned or the front office they will just need to fire somebody.

I think it would be a horrible trade for Milwaukee.  Sure, it would probably put them in the playoffs, but when they lose him to free agency, they'll be re-thinking their decision.

Small market teams can't give up highly rated prospects for rental players.  It's not smart.

True, but at the same time, Brewers fans want a taste of the postseason and we have plenty of prospects to offer.  From what I hear the Indians are scouting Tayler Green and Mat Gamel. Both are 3rd base prospects and the Brewers won't part with both,..and if the Indians want one of them,..they probably won't get Matt LaPorta then, which suits me fine.  But if they trade for C.C. Sabathia, then they NEED to sign either Sheets or Sabathia in the free agency period,..can't afford to lose both.  It would be nice to see them both next year,....a starting rotation of Sheets, Sabathia, Gallardo, Parra, with Soupcan thrown in for good measure is enough to make me drool uncontrollably.

Prince just needs to lose his idiot agent.  His contract is his/his agents fiasco for sure.  Sheets also just needs to see his non contract offering from Melvin's point of view.  He's been hurt the last 3 years, so I don't blame him for waiting to see how Sheets panned out this year before giving him a contract.  If you ask me,..Sheets owes us a few years anyway for the money we gave him that he was earning on the DL.  Sheets just needs to pull his head out of his a$$, but I suppose with the season he's having,..especially in a contract year,...who wouldn't want to test the FA market.  And yeah, it would suck losing LaPorta,...I had rather hoped to see him in a Brewers uniform someday.  And I agree with you,...we can't let all those studs sit in the minors either, lol.  The Brewers have been the master of the draft the last few years and it's a nice problem to have,...all those prospects.
