I would actually say that Die Hard Bengals fans are MORE loyal than some Steelers fans.I'm glad you said "some" steelers fans... I'm sure we do have "some" fairweather fans... but not many.. I do give Bengals fans, Lions fans, and last years Browns fans props for sticking by thier teams..  But the steelers do have a huge well travelled and, widespread fanatical fan base.. look at any Steelers away game for any proof you need..

Because it is a lot tougher to be a fan of a team that does not win all of the time, sounds to me like you are more of a fairweather fan steelcity123piti'm not a fairweather fan... believe me... i'm not one to start stuff but when someone says that we suck then i'm gonna say something...

I definetly agree with this list of bengal bruce. But the thing i hate most in any sport is bandwagon fans. As soon as the Saints started doing good i started to see some of there fans. then last year when they did bad i saw those same people for different teams. Last year in college football was the worst. When USF was ranked in the top 5 and doing good i saw this kid at my shcool wearing usf shirts and gear all the time. But when they lost out came the stuff of the current hottsest team. i wish people would just stick with their team regardless of how they do.

Father.... I will definetely agree with you you do have a huge widespread fanbase. The thing is its mostly located in cities that.... Do not have a team...... or.... have a sub-par team.   I have moved around quite a lot and that is the first thing I notice. The shear fact for this shows the true nature of the majority of Americans to want to root for a winner. I know that will sour some people maybe a lot of people, but seriously Pittsburgh is no bigger than Cincy and there is absolutely no way that many people have any direct ties to the team or town.
