Let us not forget the Knicks avoiding the lowest point total in history with a last second three by Nate Robinson as well.

  • The Spurs double OT win over the Suns in game 1 of their first round playoff matchup
  • The Lakers 2 double-digit deficit comeback wins over the Spurs in the WCF
  • Chris Paul and the upstart Hornets
  • The blockbuster trades Dallas, Phoenix, and Cleveland made in their attempts to win a championship
  • The Western Conference
  • The renewal of the Celtics-Pistons rivalry
  • Kobe Bryant winning the MVP
  • TNT's Kenny Smith getting run over by Ernie Johnson in his "attempt" to jump over a moving car, a la Kobe

Kobe Bryant winning MVP? Give me a break. Chris Paul definitely had a historical season yet everyone wanted to crown Kobe from pre-season on after. I dont think anyone "deserves" an MVP award. The numbers Paul put up are reminiscent of Steve Nash's previous MVP years. Substitute Kobe for Paul and Lakers would be BETTER. And no Im not a Laker-Kobe hater at all. If Paul couldn't win the award this year, WHEN WILL HE EVER

Calm down, Tha Carter III. The MVP debate was argued ad-nauseum on this board a few months ago. For Laker fans, seeing Kobe Bryant finally winning the MVP award was certainly memorable. Hence his being on my list. Peace.

Well said, PacTen.

Oh, and good call on Kenny Smith getting run over. That was hysterical. What a great halftime show, can't wait to see those guys again. They really add a lot to the NBA season.

The Spurs 2OT win versus the Suns was the most memorable moment.

IT will always be one of those greatest NBA games ever played that gets more exaggerated over time.

People forget how much hype the game/series had.

It was picked by like 80% of the voters in a poll to be the game 1 everyone wanted to watch.

It was a whole year of venom and hatred building up to that moment

It was the entire reason for the Shaq trade and Robert Horry villainization 2007 rolled into one.

AND THE GAME OVER-DELIVERED DESPITE THE HYPE!

Not one but 2 3-pointers to tie at the buzzer.

Tim Duncan hits his only 3-pointer of the season to send it to 2OT.
