That is another trait with these owners. They made a web site for Stamkos before he was drafted. That is why a rumor in Toronto that we would trade Stamkos pick for the Leaf goalie and a third was so absurd. Still got my blood pressure up, however. HAHAHA

They had Barry Melrose all in tow before they really owned the team!!!

Now the Rolston deal.  I guess when they say HE IS WITH US, they mean it! I do not know how many times you can keep doing this and not get embarrassed or have a guy say, OK , you wnat me so much, pay me! I have to think we talked with Ralston, but maybe they are just trying to flush out Ralston's agent, the one who plays golf or whatever and does not answer the phone! HAHAa

I am hopiing we get a web site with Stuart of defense (Redwings) and maybe Emery and a Center. All of a suddem I'd revise my thoughts on 2008/2009!! HAHAHA

It appears that Rolston isn't going to be strong armed or sweet talked off going to free agency. Bad news for Lightning fan...though I can't imagine you could possibly be disappointed with how things have gone so far for Tampa.

Hurricanes trade Forward Eric Cole to Edmonton for Defenseman Joni Pitkanen.

This is exactly the move most of us expected. Eric Cole is well loved by the fan base, but with so many forwards and not enough defensemen, the Hurricanes had to move someone. Cole has tremendous speed, but has really lacked scoring touch since he got injured in 2006. Pitkanen is just the kind of defenseman the doctor ordered. Huge defenseman that can play both ways and he is YOUNG! We still need another D-man...lets see.

Well, Tampa got Vrbata and not Rolston. I am ok with  Vrbata's contract. He might do well over here on our second line. We have 6 guys who can play up front now, I think and likely Tarnasky will grow into a good player ( I am a big fan of him an DÁrche). Locals have started to like this no-hands checker, but Tarnasky has yet to catch anyone's fancy. I think the team knows he could suddenly blossom because physically he is OK.

I am surprised at the Kolzig signing, but if they shop Smith, I understand. It would mean our team believes Ramo can become a number one in the future and they like him better than Smith. That seems to be what they believe. Frankly, Smith disappointed me last year, he looked too slow.

The Lightning are taking shape'. Too many question marks. Almost all bold hi-lited players below are question marks that must turn out good. A few guys not in bold coudl surprise and take a non-performer's spot. But a lot of question marks including the coach..

Line #1 Prospal Lecavallier St Louis..........the key is Prospal (big if)

Line #2 Malone Stamkos Vrbata.... big key to team, all 3 are questionable (Stamkos unsigned too)

Line #3 Jokinen Tarnasky Ouellette (Could Roberts crash this party or someone else)

Line #4 DÁrche? Craig? Hall? Roy (enforcer?) Kharllson?Halpern (Inj most of 2009?)

Defense Boyle Ranger OBrien Picard Lukowich Kuba (defense must be a strength!)

Goalie Kolzig/Ramos (maybe Smith)

Hi everyone....the plane landed safe in Trinidad....I just had to come in once I heard the news about Erik Cole being traded...it was long rumored and expected that he would leave...Edmonton is getting a player who will potentially help them....but the Canes got the defenseman they coveted.....

I also was told the Lightning has done the "Extreme Makeover NHL Edition".....I think everyone in Tampa may need a scorecard and lineup sheet to know who is playing...my friend told me Boyle and Smith may be on the way out now that Kolzig and the other players they got are here.....

Trinidad is fun guys and beautiful....this is one place though that the NHL is hard to come by....unless you have it on ESPN2 which is on the big dish here coverage sucks!!!
