I actually had a conversation with an Alabama fan who admitted that after 3 losses in a row they would never have envisioned another 3 losses. This guy said he was actually nervous about getting to 9 now. Whoda thunk it, a realistic Alabama fan that actually acknowledged what Auburn did. Funny that wayslow throws out 38-33-1 and never once envisioned it would get THAT close.
Also, is it actually true that Auburn has as many undefeated/untied seasons as Alabama? This made me smile. Doesn't surprise me at all that Alabama, just like they are now, is all rep, and a team like Auburn can do just about everything it can and still won't get recognized. Two undefeated seasons (since Bama's championship), one in a season where Auburn was the only undefeated team in the country, no championships. Now, if this were Alabama they would have claimed 3.
