I just read that 2 players got in a fight at the rookie symposium.
One was a 1st rounder and I don't know about the other.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Hopefully it was Jared Mayo who was involved.
Hopefully it WASN'T Jake Long.
 Here's the article....

The NFL’s rookie symposium often provides a little offseason intrigue.

In 2004, the late Sean Taylor was fined for not showing up.  In 2006, Titans running back LenDale White asked former NFL defensive lineman Esera Tualo, who came out of the closet after his career ended, “Is it offensive if I call you a faggot if you are a faggot?”  Last year, Ravens quarterback Troy Smith asked Commissioner Roger Goodell when or if he’ll begin to focus on some of the positive things about NFL players.

This time around, things got physical.

A league source tells us that, at the 2008 rookie symposium, two players (who’ll remain nameless for now) got into a fight.  The incident was broken up by Rob Davis, a former long snapper who currently serves as the Packers’ director of player development.

As the source said, “They were told not to let the incident leave the room, but it did.”

We might eventually identify the players.  For now, we’ll tell you that one of them was a first-round draft pick.

I hope it wasn't Jake Long either. That would suck and it wouldn't look good for the Dolphins.

I don't have a damn clue...

but if I were to make a guess, I would say Darren McFadden.  He's been criticized for his character issues, has he not?

I can't see anyone trying to mess with Jake Long.  Sure his contract is ridiculous, but everyone knows that, and I'm sure he damn well knows too...despite loving every penny of it.  The only person I could see trying to go at it with Long is Joey Porter--or someone not afraid of getting their face smashed in.

Hopefully Long wasn't involved.  It will be interesting how Goodell handles this.  Will there be a fine?
