Allright, I've had about enough out of Guillen thinking he's just plain better than everyone else. Last night, he didn't even chase a fly ball in left center and he was playing in left! Gathright got to it, in a dead sprint, and Guillen was already on the infield dirt heading to the dugout! What the hell is that about?
Look, he's producing and I'm sure all of us like that, but I'm completely done with his attitude. Not hitting the cutoff man, not running out hits, not even fielding his position for goodness sake! Get rid of him at the trade deadline if you can. He's going to start effecting this team in a negative way soon, I just hope we get rid of him before he has a chance to.

I couldn't agree more, cut your losses and trade him. IMO the worst thing you can have on a team with a bunch of young talent is a leader that is lazy. That attitude will trickle down to the younger guys and then what do you have. The last thing in the world we need is for guys like Alex Gordon, Billy Butler and Mike Alviles to start thinking they don't have to work hard to play on this team. It not only hurts the team it hurts the young guys career. If a young guy gets the lazy label he's done.
Guillen has a pee poor attitude about darn near everything, at least as far as I have seen. He doesn't like the fans, he uses hurt as an excuse, if you are hurt so bad that you can't even attempt to run down a fly or down the base line then sit on the bench untill you are healthy. Either play and play hard, or DH and run hard, or get the heck out of the way and let somebody who wants to play hard play.

While Guillen's attitude is questionable, I don't think that the team is being affected as much as you believe. He is not the leader in the club house, even if he wants to be, and i believe the young talent that you are worried about being ruined is smart enough to realize what CAN happen and won't let that happen. As for the clubhouse, i believe its more of an everybody has that one friend that's annoying when you look in from the outside, but its whats you don't see that is the reason they are your friend. I think its the same thing with guillen, all we hear about is his blowups and tantrums, lets see what happens in an everyday in and out report before we start screaming trade him. As for not running down the pop fly, i wouldn't banish him for that, but it would be nice to see him give forth a little more effort after blasting the team.

He told you bleeping bleep of bleepp he's got two sore hamstring things he can't run bleep.........
I think his act is already tired to the rest of the team... I heard Mark Teahan talking about him being a leader........ ummm yah right the sourcasm was very evident.

Sorry, but I've been questioning his effort in the outfield since the very start of the season. He has been loafing to balls that could have been caught all season, and that is long before the two sore hips, or hamstrings or whatever it is this week. If that's not day in and day out then I don't know what is. It is nice to have his HR's and RBI's however, I'm not sure they are worth the cost. I would say that if he wants to DH fine. If he isn't willing to do that ala Mike Sweeney, then it's time to shop him around.

Rhetorical question right? Of course he is. Unfortunately teams like KC have to take what they can get which sometimes means putting up with less than stellar attitudes. Like it or not, when a team like KC is struggling to score runs, you aren't going to give up the player who has accounted for almost 1/6 of your run production (when there are 9 guys in the lineup, that is meaningful for an offensively woeful team). That is unless you want to go back to losing a 100+ games. He's accounted for more RBIs than almost any 2 other players combined other than Gordon and DeJesus. The Royals cannot afford to give up that production and hope to have any chance of being even mildly respectable. Not to mention that Gordon, DeJesus, and others have benefited from having him in the lineup because they are going to get pitched around a lot less when there is a quasi-legit homerun threat hitting behind them.
