	I was at the game last night and I knew Ponson was going to pitch terrible. He cannot be trusted as a starting pitcher. The Yankees will give either him of Giese 1 more start and try and get someone by trasding Melky during the all star break. Who should we get? I have been saying since the beginning Rich Harden. The A's wouldn't trade him so soon unless we overwhlmed the with a 3 player package including Melky and maybe Hughes and Cox or something

	Ponson should have been pulled after the first of the 2 bombs he gave up in the 6th. If that was done, his outing would not have been so bad. He will get at least one more turn in the rotation. Should he fail, then Jeff Karstens will probably be called up to take the spot. In his last five outings at SWB, he is 3-1 with a 2.03 ERA. On a side note (not necessarily directed at you sjkqw) a lot of people of this and other message boards seem to be rooting for Ponson to fail. I don't like the guy and I think he can be a clubhouse cancer. However, wanting to see one of your own players fail is wrong. Believing he will is different but a lot of folks go beyond that.

	Yes, I agree Karstens would make agood choice. I am not rooting for him to fail just knowing he will. He is not a good player. He got lucky with that Texas offense when he was there

	And, I am not saying you in particular are or were rooting for him to fail. There are a lot of folks on these boards that are hoping for the failure. I totally dislike Ponson but I have to pull for him when he takes the mound because I want my team to be successful. If I had my way, Karstens would get the start in 5 days.

	We should not trade Melky. He is a great young outfielder with decent offensive numbers. great defensive ability and a good injury history. Yes I know we have several young up and coming outfielders making their ways through the minor leagues but they could rotate and all DH. He is to valuable to lose if we wouldn't trade him for Johan why trade him for Rich Harden.

	Wo wo wo. Why would Gardner, Tabata, and Jackson DH. That spot is reserved for Jesus Montero. IT is kind of like the situation in Seattle except a little more pre mature. A catcher has another young catcher coming up with him so he needs to use the DH spot which is being blocked.

	i totally agree with jttm69 ANd it wasn't Melky straight up for Johan. We had to trade Melky, Hughes, Kennedy, and possibly Jeffrey Marquez. Jeff Karstens is an awesome pitcher who everyone hates because of one game. He tried pitching through a broken leg and gave up 2 HRs, 3 runs to the Red Sox or something like that. He is an awesome player
