A manager with a pulse would have Varitek hitting 8th or 9th by now until he can get right . . having him make outs in key situations and looking horrible in doing so is not helping his confidence . . our guy Terry is always reluctant to make changes . . whether it be that he's afraid to hurt a guy's feelings or whether he really believes that keeping the status quo will eventually make things right again  . . .last night he said he had a great feeling about putting Lowell in motion with Varitek at the plate . . . he did that on Monday with the same result . . will he do it tonight???  Who knows . . . doesn't seem to be a good percentage play to me . . also more than one day off a week wouldn't kill Tek . . according to Tito .  .everyone needs one day a week off . . well maybe Tek needs two
