This year appears to be the one that the Panthers will turn the corner. Returning a ton of starters including All American LB Scott McKillop and Freshman All American RB LeSean McCoy. If Bill Stull can return from thumb injury with poise and take control of this offense, at least enough to take the pressure off McCoy, there is no reason this team should not succeed.
As far as Wanny is concerned...I am starting to lose my patience. He has all these talented recruits on the team now and it is time that there is something to show for it. If this year is another mis-fire and they miss a bowl, he will be in the hot seat for sure.
Losing Mo Williams does hurt some, he was fast, young, and talented. Fortunately for us, we have a Derek Kinder returning from injury for his now senior season. Before going out all of last year he was expected to be one of the top WR in the Big East and a solid #1. He should return to form and lead the Panthers as wide out. We also have Oderick Turner who took over fairly nicely last year and will contribute a lot as a #2, if not press Kinder for the 1 spot. We also have the incoming 5-Star recruit Jonathan Baldwin who is another young, tall, and talented player who could come in and contribute right away. Throw in talented TE Nate Byham we have a flurry of pass-catching weapons.
