It sure seems like every single offensive player has contributed greatly on this home stand. That's what happens when you are winning.

And young Adam Russell gets a win 2 days in a row.

Is Jenks hurt?

His velocity was down to 91-92, so they decided to give him the day off.

I think they need to make him lose a lot of weight, he's been losing velocity each season.

He did lose weight, that's why his velocity is down. You need the girth, man !! LOL.

I like the fact that there are now no easy outs in this lineup.....last year there were a ton !  Brian Anderson is clutch hitting, Alexi Ramirez may be the most dangerous # 9 hitter in the league...Thome is now hitting, as is Swisher.  Another great thing is that we are now hitting and winning against lefties, and quality lefties like CC Sabbathia at that.  That guy used to own us, but now we are scoring runs vs LHP.

This weekend should be a tell tale series, with the two best ERA pitching staffs going at it.  I would like to see the Sox produce some runs without having to hit HR's.  Also, will the bullpen hold up with out Jenks for a few days ?

First...I guess Jenks has experienced a little tightness in his back, which is why he has had the last few nights off.

As for everyone on this team contributing...very true.  Last night Brian Anderson got the big two run single.  I have a theory on why the Sox are a good team.  The "experts" don't give the White Sox a lot of respect, but I think part of that is due to the fact that the Sox don't have any superstars on the team.  We don't have an Albert Pujols, a Johan Santana, or an A Rod.  But what we do have is a very good player at each position.  Like it was stated earlier, there are no easy outs in our line up.  Every player at each position is better than average.  And when you add the sum of the parts, the numbers really look good. When you look at our team, there are no gaping holes that make you say that we are a piece or two away from being great.  And when you have quality up and down your line up, it makes it easier to work around guys who are in funks.  Quite often, when teams are built around a superstar, if that superstar gets cold, many times, so does the whole team.  That shouldn't be the case with the Sox.

Now that the bats have heated up (which they usually do with the weather), I think the Sox are going to continue to play some great baseball.
