fundamentals--- can we do them

I just have to voice some of my opions on this. Dont get me wrong when the Cubs are doing good i dont look for them cause they are finding other ways to win but the fundamentals are KILLING US.

lee is the double play man this year. just keeps killing rally's

outfielders are being to complacent  and letting routine fly outs letting people advance to the next base cause we think they are not going to run. and DEFENCE has anyone ever heard of DEFENCE wins championships!!! we cant rely on our power hitting getting runs in we need to do the Fundamentals of getting people home

Good example was the second game of the cubs/white sox game. D.Lee led off with a double no outs, Ward dose he's job for hitting to the right side to more him over but the next 2 cant score him not even on a sac fly!?!?!?!?!?!?

And i was reading these threads and someone pointed out that when other teams look at our bench they dont get scared and neither would i. Fonetno just swings for the fence which for a small guy wont help him ,cedeno was good at the begining but lets be real we all knew that was going to be a fluke, ward has power but hes the only one that kind would scare anyone and then Blanco he get his hits here and there but really what has he done beside a filler for Soto when he needs a break.

FUNDAMENTALS are killing this team and i really hope they get there act together when they go to San Fran, there is no way that one or 2 people make this team ie. the injury bug, they call this a team sport for a reason so im not useing the injuries as an excues for this leck of better terms Poor Baseball

LOU needs to fire up this team and get there butts in gear

And on a side note, if the Cubs are playing poor baseball right now, then let's all hope that it contiunes. The Cubs are coming off of their worst stretch of the season and are still 17 games over .500 and still leading the Cardinals by 2 1/2 games.

And he liked this rant so much he posted it, once, twice, three and yes, four times!

Sorry for the sarcasm, I just get tired of all the whining I read with no plausible suggestion for correction.

Never let the highs get so high that the lows seem so low...this slump will pass. Injuries do and have played a very large part in this 4 - slump before the Cubs blasted off against the Giants.

Do you suppose we could arrange to have more games played in California for Mark DeRosa's bat?
