No....I find ita bit that you are deemed a hater because you bring discussion to a board about a Wv recriut and if it is all not good news then no one wants to hear it...

They would rather wait until the kid comes to school ...steals a laptop, or a credit card, or sell weed...then throw the kid under the bus....and of course have one more opportunity to blame  society , the the Kids parents, the school and of course  it will always be RIch Rodriguez's fault at least ....for the  next 20 years..

I find it interesting that the only thing people on here care about is a kids rating on Rivals , how fast he runs and what he can do for the team..and it stops there..

What about the rest of the  due diligence...like where is the kid from?, what does his HS Coach say?, whats the graduation rate at that particlular HS for athletes, does the kid qualify?, has he been arrested?...

Kerns is  borderline in his second swing at Hargrave...that is 6 years to get a HS degree..to me that personally is a huge RED FLAG...90% of the kids at Hargrave are there for one year....so you are going to tell me that a kid that is still waiting to see if he can qualify,  is going to make on the College level..at a Univeristy of 27,000 students??...he is just going to wake up one day and be smart?...that is incredibly optimistic..

The person that I spoke to is a position Coach at the Division 1-A level...He said his school wanted to offer two years ago but was scared off...They looked at him again at Hargrave the last 2 years and said things have not changed...take it for what you will.. 

Guess I'll throw my 2 cents at this.  There are a TON of dumb people in college.  Doesn't take a brain surgeon to pass some of the courses in Morgantown - people don't shoot, you know it's true.

Try this on for size - WVU gets him the mimimum classes, requirements, etc...  and with a little massaging gets Kerns through...   Happens all the time.   How many TV interviews have you seen with kids all over the country who can't even speak enough English to articulate a sentence? - It happens, if he makes it to Morgantown, he'll be eligible one way or the other, guaranteed...

I have read nothing bad about Kerns from a character standpoint, and quite conversely have read nothing but good things when it comes to him being an upstanding person.  I will take moral, honest and not so smart over cheating, always in trouble and smart any day!!

What may not be true is that this young man may not have a "posse," he may just have friends - that's what they used to call it.  Your information, albeit from an individual you believe to be hardwired, may be second or third-hand gossip before it was passed to you.  Your passing double and tripple hearsay while dragging his character through the mud serves no purpose.  There are obvious factual concerns about this recruit and his character is not currently one of them.  And listing the names of individuals who have already been in trouble proves nothing about your source.

My reference to observing the wild teens riding the roof of a car was only to say that I saw this first-hand and still didn't feel comfortable identifying them as thugs or bad element.  You've never spoken to this kid, you have no first-hand knowledge (except the academic problems we all know about) and you've already determined he is destined for failure because of your alleged hardwired source.

Well ...what I have brought to the his board has always been more than just conjecture and innuendo...I have always brought correct information or have shared with this board things that I  beleive to be factual from credible people...and in this case ...it is fact...
