Back when strength of schedule really mattered, and mean REALLY mattered, I could see the SEC teams wanting to venture west and north for bigger OOC match ups. But the fact is that strength of schedule is hardly a factor. It is there, but I think it is a tiny, tiny, tiny part of the whole BCS equation-almost like a tie breaker if it needs to come down to it. So why would SEC teams schedule longer and harder road games when they are looking at facing 4 or 5 bowl teams and probably at least 2 top ten teams in regular season play? What incentive is there in working twice as hard to get to the same top spot as other teams that barely break a sweat getting there too? For bragging rights? Please...polishing the NC trophy at the end of the day is all the bragging rights any school needs.
