Ok, so its safe to say that the Indians are sellers. Who will be gone before the deadline. The obvious choice is C.C. but after that I am not sure.

IMO, because of some players' pending free-agent status, their payroll and the performance of many of the players, there are going to be some changes and some surprises...I believe that in order to achieve some of the goals in making trades involving talented ballplayers, surprises come along as other teams start throwing out names who are not in the equation in the initial talks, then pop up later as things heat up.  I believe also that Shapiro had done a great job putting together last year's team as they made a run at a championship, and he will likely be very prudent in making moves to improve this year's version, understanding that injuries have played a big part in the disappointment thus far.

I don't think the season is over yet with the pending return of Victor, Carmona and Pronk; but a nice run of 8 out of 10 or 9 out of 12 would be nice...getting to within 7 games by the All-Star break would make things look a bit brighter...

And if not, it would be time to start looking forward...

i would have to say byrd because contending teams like the Brewers may want a rent a pitcher for the year or a veteran to help his club. borowski may be traded after the season, blake as well

If Borowski and Blake are both going to be traded (and I think Shapiro will at least try and trade them) it will have to happen in season.  They are FAs after the year so trading them after the season is not an option.

People I'd trade....CC, Byrd, Francisco, Marte

I'd hang onto Blake.  If you could get something for Borowski then trade him.

One possible JoeBo scenario could be if CC goes to the Cubs.  JoeBo has some good history with the Cubs and Tribe might be able to convince them to take him, especially cause the only way I can see a deal with the Cubs working is if Marmol is included so the Cubs could use another bullpen arm.  Again, unlikely but not impossible.

Yeah, Borowski's time in Chicago didn't end very well, the fans did not want him in the game.  He wouldn't have a spot in the Cubs bullpen.  If the Cubs can sign CC for 5 years I'm ok with throwing Marmol in there, if not then I'd rather not make a deal.  He's going to be a great closer in the league, the guy has only been pitching for 4 or 5 years, he was drafted as a catcher.
