You have to always weigh the risk vs. reward Paolo.  I went to high school with a kid who had an anuerysm and he experienced temporary blindness until after the surgery.  He had no symptoms at all before hand.  Talking to him afterward he said that he had no idea what he'd have done had the blindness returned or never been fixed.  Obviously there are risks with any surgery.  Will having the surgery definitely boost your ability to live or not? Are they even sure its an aneurysm at this point?

Prolonging your healthy life is the key.  I'm sure your family will agree.

I agree with buck your health is nothing to put on the back burner.  You can not wait until it is to late.  I do not know what you disability is and I won't ask because I choose not to pry into others peoples business but an brain aneurysm, if that's what you are experiencing, is nothing to mess with.  I'm not an MD or anything but I did know a kid who played on the rival high school football team that had a brain aneurysm and he was dead before they knew what was wrong.  17 years old, very healthy and being scouted to play football at UT and many other schools.  Don't mess with your health and don't give up hope.

Well said BestBuck36

Paolo you've got a lot of living and games in front of you. Let the doctors know what's going on. You've got to be strong for the ones that love you most. Them and a good dose of faith will get you through. Sounds like you've done pretty well so far without always being dealt the best hand.

I'm pulling for you. My freind had a brain aneurysm totally out of the blue and the doctors pulled him through and that was without time to prepare.   Go get it checked out. It might be something totally benign. You just never know.

Good luck to you and keep us posted.  Tony, better known as "Grinning Bear"

Paolo, I think you need to discuss this with family.  It is serious and you may think you are saving them the worry but I believe they would want to know.  I have known a few people that have had aneurysms but you are the first that has had any type of warning.  I hope that it's nothing more than normal headaches but definitely have it looked at sooner than later.  Good luck.  We are all pulling for you.

Paolo,

I would not wait. Go get it checked out. My Grandmother was perfectly healthy, died overnight due to a brain anuerysm. No prior conditions.

My aunt started having headaches and started to forget things like conversations and then she got lost on the way home from the airport. It was a 20 minute drive to home and she wound up in another state about 1 hour and a half from home. She didn't know how she got there. The doctors found cancer in her braina and they could not operate. She got progressively worse, didn't recognize people and died a few months later.

My advice is to get it checked as quickly as possible. Don't wait.

Hope this helps.

Matt
