The Nets have a quality young side now...

They have stacks of young talent that doesn't take up too much salary. It's a team that is rebuilding but if they find their feet fast enough can make a serious run at the playoffs considering it is the Eastern conference.

Memphis and the Clippers had great drafts but shouldn't be making any runs at the playoffs because it is the tough Western Conference. They are still rebuilding and need time. Maybe in a couple of years after the Spurs get older and Steve Nash declines...

Miami, with a full healthly squad should've done some damage last year. But this season they have added two pretty solid rookies, gotten rid of Shaq. Added Marion. In the Eastern conference, an incredibly good year with that squad could see them contending in the East. An Average year could see them at the butt end of the playoffs. No doubt it will be considered a failure within that franchise if they don't get playoffs.

I really don't think that the Nets will sign LeBron James. They should make the playoffs this year. But overall they have a very young team yet. And I agree somewhat with pats_fever that they will be good in 2010, but I am pretty sure that the Cavs are building their franchise around LeBron. He's kind of a big deal.

Miami needed a dual scoring/rebounding threat, and got him in Beasley.

Miami needed a good, defensive point guard, and got him in Chalmers.

A+ drafting right there...
