Should the Reds consider picking him up. We could use another starter and aside from the fact he's a complete A-Hole, he might fill that fifth starter need
This team already has enough problems. Besides, this guy has a 45-61 career record with a 4.99 lifetime ERA. His best year was 2003 with Colorado and he was 11-8 with a 4.60 ERA. We already have enouhg pitchers on our staff with those numbers. We need good pitching.
i say no, but for a very simple reason. he is a fly-ball pitcher, and that just does not work in GABP. if that weren't the case, i would say why not? he is better than Josh Fogg and could do long relief if nothing else.
There is no way we pick him up. I agree with Fella, not only is he a head case but he also is a fly ball pitcher and in GABP that leads to all sorts of homeruns. The Reds need something but I don't think he is it.
Do it!! Do it now!! Just kidding. We sould stear clear from Chacon. He's a bad pitcher and a bad person. What's good about him? We have better players who actually deserve a shot in the rotation or bullpen in the minor leagues.
