Who will be the starting RB for Lions this season? Will it be Kevin Smith, Tatum Bell or someone else?

I hope it's Kevin Smith. Hopefully we found our running back of the future. We need to start finding long term solutions instead of just trying to fill holes every year.

If you want a long term solution, you can start by getting rid of Matt Millen.

That is the dumbest prediction I have heard in a long time....just rediculous!  I hope you are not serious.  You are all ready declaring a 3rd round draft pick to be a top 10 back.  If you are that great of a scout to make a prediction like that then you should be sharing your extensive knowledge of the game on RotoWire.com or somthing!!  Get a grip!

Now that that is over wtith....the starter is totally up in the air.  If Brian Calhoun can stay healthy then I want him as my starter.  He was a high 2nd round pick 2 years ago (Smith is a 3rd rounder), and the zone blocking scheme they are implementing in Detroit this year is the same scheme he excelled under at Wisconsin.

Actually they were both 3rd round picks. Calhoun #74 overall and Smith #64 overall.

Wisconsin had a much better O-Line than Detroit has. And as far as college careers go, Smith's was way better than Calhoun's. What they did in college really doesn't matter though.

I'm not going to say Smith is a top RB(especially not as a rookie and not behind our O-Line) but I think he will be better than Calhoun.
