I don't see it as being only black people getting in trouble. I do see the saem type of black person though getting in trouble all the time. Mainly the ones who came from beyond nothing and now have the world by its balls. Human instinct, black or white, when you get a bunch of money you haven't earned yet, you think what can I buy. It isn't always the athletes fault directly. Most times it is a friend they couldn't let go of from the hood. They have nothing to lose and love to spend their buddies new found wealth. Same as trailer trash white folk. Mexicans will save money, thats why they all live together in one house. Same as oriental people. Arabs are even one step beyond that. They invest their money into America and then bring over more members after 5 years so they can get tax free breaks.
The people giving these people this money should be looking at charecter as well as talent. They should teach them about investing in themselves and getting out of their past days. Maybe they do and it is just ignorantly ignored, but I doubt it. Can't expect to give any person who has had nothing their whole live not to go crazy when they are all of the sudden loaded with money. Problem is even if you make it, doesn't mean you will be around long.
Why did you have to make that comment about no white players in the NBA? You are no better then Imus by making comments like this. Yes there is a race inbalance but there are many white players as well. Most probably didn't grow up dirt ass poor though and one reason they aren't in as much trouble. What "set" you claim, can determine how your life goes if you just allow it to. There are those that have the yes I can attitude though and will not be pushed down. They are only going to a knee for a minute, then they are going back at it. But most will let their enviroment control what their life is because they are either too stupid or too lazy.
