The Dorsey block looked bad and there was at least another one last year but look at the tape of the whole line on those plays.

The call was to dive block on the whole line and they all did except for the misbloke of one player that went high on those two plays.

I know that it looks really bad. Yes it does, but Nall is not a dirty coach and there is no way you could convince me that he is.

AU runs the cleanest big time program in the country. PERIOD. They graduate players and don't stand for any thuggary.

That has not always been the case, and I for one am proud of the AU program.

paROLE TIDE.

Even being an Auburn fan, I voted for Trickett.  He was at AU when I went to football camp there in 93 and 94.  He reminds me of R. Lee Ermy from "Full Metal Jacket", only Trickett is tougher and cusses more.

I think all of the selections are worthy of consideration.  Each has their own strengths.  Might I add another name to the list?

Don Horton, Offensive Line at NC State.

Why?  Because he wasn't always O-Line coach at NC State, he was, in fact the man who produced Boston College offensive lines from 1998 to 2007.

Producing the following NFL players:

Doug Brzezinski

Marc Columbo

Josh Beekman

Chris Snee

Jeremy Trueblood

Gosder Cherilus

Dan Koppen

James Marten

Damien Woody

Paul Zakauskas.

Most of those players listed above were All - Big East or - ACC offensive linemen, and those are just players who ended up drafted and playing in the NFL.  Coach Horton and his lines made 'decent' running backs (Mike Cloud, William Green, and Derrick Knight) into leading rushers in the NCAAs, and All-Americans

I'd have to say Stacy Searles at Georgia-I really hated to see that guy go.  I don't think UGA's running game would have been nearly as good last year without him.

an excellent arguement, and the stats are great.  But in the Big Ten, teams play DEFENSE!  I'm sure the run and gun pac-10 definitely helps skew those numbers in favor of Cal.

I agree.. but not for the same reasons. B10 runs inside the tackles more often then any other conference and produces great run block OLine, but this is not what the future holds. What the SEC and the BE are doing for that matter is the future of football. Fast Oline that can block with zone blocking is the future. The reason the Big Ten is being clowned in title games is the failure to block speed rushers. SEC and BE OL have been taught a different game. Till the B10 learns this it will be more of the same...maybe not top to bottom but when it comes to the two best teams in the country its definately going to be the story.
