Who do the Blues take? -

	So, the NHL draft is 1 week away. Who do the Blues take with there 1st pick? Unfortunately there is only one forward/center in the top 5 and he will go number one in the draft. That will leave a group of D-men to pick from. Rumor is that is might be Schenn or Pietrangelo. I would like to see Bogosian drop to us though. What are other Blues fans hearing or what do you know about these kids?

	What about this Russian Filatov?? I know there are problems getting them to come over here but I here this guy is anxious to play in the NHL and is ready to make the move ASAP. We need scoring. Other then that I think we should trade down.

	I also want the Blues to take a chance on Filatov. Just look at the last few Russian that were drafted high: Kovalchuk, Ovechkin, Malkin. I think the reward is worth the risk since we already have several good young players on their way up, and several picks in the following rounds.

	I agree but the word is that the Blues are not sold on him in the number 4 slot or that he will be as big of a player in the NHL. From what I have heard about Filatov he has point + per game ability. I guess we will find out today though. I could see them trying to work up a package to get up to the number one spot with the extra 3rd round pick plus a 1st and 2nd for it. Now that would be great for the Blues.

	Getting Stamkos aint gonna happen. I would be SHOCKED if the Blues could do that. That would be a coup for sure.

	What a great shocker it would be indeed. However, the Blues do have lots of picks to peddle, not to mention a lot of really good prospects in our system. Good, creative, scoring forwards are such a rarity that I would make the move if possible, even at a high price tag.

	I agree, it would be a shock. But as Charge said we do have a lot of picks this year (9) one 1st, two 2nd, two 3rd, two 4th, and then one in 5 and 6. Plus we have a lot of solid Defensemen in the minors who could start for a lot of teams. So, it is possible just not likely. According to STLtoday they Davidson said that they traded Mayers in the anticipation of making some big moves. So, we will see.

	I think it is actually 3 in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th now. I don't think sportsline updated it from the 2 trades.

Bogosian or Filatov -

	I'll be happy with any of the top 3 defensemen, but hope we take either Bogosian or Filatov. Preferably Filotov because we need off
