We are Americans, and we love the military. My father retired from the military. I was in the military and 2 of my other brothers were in the military.
My uncle was in the military and 7 of my 1st cousins were in the military.
Military is a way of life here in the islands.
And what is your idea of an American? White?
Almost every family that I know has someone who has married a haole. Its not a bad word to me, but your tone can make it bad. I have 2 brother in laws that are white, and 2 sister in laws that are white.
If someone has hurt you in the past, let it go, it is to their loss that they haven't learned to live life, move on and progress.
