Yes, yes he was.  My thoughts on Utah is not that their accomplishments reflect directly on the WAC, but that their accomplishments are an indirect reflection on what most non-BCS teams can be capable of. 

Munson, I wasn't looking real hard at the picture.  Your colors are too similar to Fresno.  So far, you're not coming across as a homer.

There was an article in a Utah news paper detailing that BYU's biggest TV date this year is going to be the game at Washington televised on the Fox Sports Network.  It's downright pathetic that the best the MWC commish can do for his premier team, one that he's supposed to be hyping for the BCS this year, is to get lucky and have a PAC 10 secondary coverage unit pick up a game.  It's time somebody with who's more web savy than me cranked up firecraigthompson.com.  It's very telling that I had to look up his name, while I know off the top of my head that the WAC commish is Karl Benson.  Thompson just doesn't get it.  You don't sacrifice the league's most important game of the year, BYU @ Utah, just for the hopes of selling more Direct TV Mtn packets.

Anyway, end rant on the awful tv contract, and even worse promotion job done by firecraigthompson.com.  Just count me now in the camp that believes BSU shouldn't be entertaining the MWC until after they firecraigthompson.com and get a better tv deal.

PS, the MWC was stupid for not listening to your school pres's begging last season.

My point exactly.

Just think of how much coverage BYU could get if they promoted themselves even half as much as Notre Dame.  While there aren't as many Mormons world wide as there are Catholics, the church connection works, for both members and nonmenbers.  It adds an extra angle to the coverage and increases interest.  After all, some folks tune in because they want to see the team lose and cheer for the underdog.

When will the MWC ever figure that out?  Anyone who has ever been to Utah knows that BYU vs. Utah generates more passion than anything in the state.  Maybe the idiots running the MWC thinks that they can get everybody to watch the games on the satellite.

I'd rather watch the annual church conference, home redecorating programs, or bass fishing than pay out for premium satellite coverage of the MWC.   I think that a lot of people agree with me.
