I disagree with ya paki sort of.  After all, Hall hasn't played a down in our system and he would look all-world for a few games and then get blown up in Atlanta, just like the guy said.

I do disagree with the Chargers ranking.  Come on, Jammer is an above average corner, that's it.  Put him alongside Rod Woodson or Deion Sanders and it still isn't the best tandem because Jammer can't be part of it.  And don't tell me the Raiders aren't as good because they're counting on Hall's potential but then say the Chargers are better because of Cromarties potential.

Same goes for Pacman and Newman.  Pacman is new to the team and system, has good games and bad, and isn't quite as good as he thinks he is.  He and DeAngelo Hall are the same, except Hall actually played last year.  And Newman is not better than Nnamdi.

Woodson and Harris.  Okay, you can make that argument.  Philly, okay that too.  Denver, I am willing to concede the top dog spot to Bailey for another year, but his reign is coming to an end.

Your comment about the "potential" for Cromartie makes me chuckle.  Nine picks in half a season.  ProBowl as voted by his piers.   Young, fast, leaping ability, great hands and great football instincts.  Shut down corner.  Played against the top receiver and excelled.  Yeah, that really sounds like potential to me.

Now I'm more than willing to give you a bone on the Jammer assessment.  He's an above average cb that was drafted to be a superstar and will never live to his potential.  Frankly, he has all the talent but lacks the instincts.  He plays with too much cushion because he lacks confidence.  The big saving grace for him is that he likes to hit.   The Chargers are grooming his replacement and will move Jammer to  safety were he'll be a dominant force with his toughness.

The bottom line for me is that there is not a team with two shut down corners and so it comes to a combination.  Philly is solid with the addition of Samuel.  Baily and Dre Bly are excellent, especially with a healthy Baily,  Pacman has to prove again that he can play so I don't buy into the hype and Oakland is just Oakland.

Wasn't really going for a laugh...

But Cromartie is different. Antonio Cromartie is an All-Pro waiting to happen.

That's from the article, so they are talking about what can be - aka potential.

Just like for the Raiders they talked about what can be with Hall.

I don't doubt Cromartie being a talented player who had a great year, what makes the Chargers thing not a great tandem is because the other side isn't good enough to be considered part of a great tandem.  I do sure 'preciate you throwing me a bone, toss 60 cents over with it and it'll get me a soda.

one thing that amused me about cromartie, particularly in the Colts games was that interceptions kinda just fell into his lap.  He is a very good young corner is exceptionally athletic, but im not convinced on the instincts yet.  Its 1 thing to have a bunch of lucky deflections come your way and another to defend passes.  So I'm not really knocking him, just saying he doesn't deserve all his hype yet.
