He's been arrested FIVE times in 3 years. The guy is a loose cannon. And last I checked the NFL Commissioner does have the authority to suspend someone if their off-field conduct is deemed to be detrimental to the image of the league. Even if he "gets off", the fact of the matter is he obviously thinks he is above the law, has zero brains and common sense, and zero lack of appreciation for the chance to earn a great living playing a game he loves.

As far as "the NFL is more exciting with Chris Henry", the guy has 88 catches in 3 seasons. And that is playing with one of the better QB's in the game today. I don't think he will be missed too much by fans if his suspension is a lengthy one. If the guy spent half as much time working on his game than working on making the police blotter, he might have been a good one. As of right now, who even cares if he never plays another down again?

Way to go Rich Rod. The quality of a$$holes that have come out of your program in recent years is impressive. Pac Man, Chris Henry. I wonder who the next a-hole Mountaineer will be.

Long overdue, he should have been gone after the 3rd arrest.  We give these morons like Henry too many chances that the average person would never be given under the same circumstances.

Although I don't like Henry, I agree with JJ. Unless these charges stick, he shouldn't be signaled out as an example. I don't know if the NFL has an arrest policy, but if they do that is what they should stick to and not some form of arbitrary justice. I know people dislike a player for his personality and they want to see anything bad that is possible happen to him, but this is not my attitude. Even if a guy is a jerk and has put himself in some precarious situations, I still don't wish the worse for him. Football is his livelihood, it can't be a help to somebody if that is taken away, especially for some misdemeanors.

You're right at least he didn't witness his friends murder someone like Ray L., it is a good thing our society accepts criminal behavior and our economy is so strong and not falling behind the rest of the world not.

At this rate we will be third world in no  time,  too bad we don't expect a higher level of education / behavior from all our citizens ,  hopefully it is not too late to clean up our great country before we all have this low level of intelligence and morals.

These are the examples we set for our future, man are we  screwed.

I have had 5 tickets dropped in my lifetime. Guess what when I was pulled over and handed the ticket I was in fact guilty of the crime. Just because he may be aquitted of the charges doesn't mean he is innocent. He may look innocent to society but the court system revolves around money. If you are willing to pay the right amount, and take the right classes you will look like you never even got arrested. Chris Henry is a punk, he should be able to stay out of trouble for millions. The worst part about it is he has the talent to be a number one reciever in this league and I can promise that if he had never been arrested and stayed out of trouble and Chad Johnson had requested a trade this season he would've been gone Chris Henry would've been the starter plain and simple. He is a good player. He has proven that. He is just dumb off the field. As is Odell Thurman both good players horrible off the field citizens.
