Why are White Sox fans so obsessed with the Cubs and Cubs fans? For the same reason that the sun rises every morning in the East. It's simply always been that way, and will always be that way. They will always care more about the Cubs than their own team. For some reason, being popular matters more to them than anything else. Then add in the fact that they are self-appointed baseball experts and things get out of control.
But pay no mind to them. They think the Sox have won every World Series since 1919. Nobody celebrates a 82-80 record with a third place finish quite like Sox fans.
The bottom line is that I simply do not care about the White Sox or their fans. Growing up on the South Side, I learned that nothing works with Sox fans quite like apathy.
I care about the Cubs, and that's it. And right now, the season is going great. Let's enjoy that for its own sake and not worry about what Sox fans think about the Cubs, their schedule, home/road records, or anything else.
