Big XII predictions for 2008

OK, so you are credited with the "1919 NC and the 1939 NC"...... you are NOT creditied with the 1927..... you have been voted by one of the many voting agencies NC 5 times, but only AWARDED the title 2 times......

But still.... 1939....????

Since you want to down play Tech's dominance over TAMU and ask us how we do against "NB, OU, and UT", i looked at HOW THE AGIES have done in Big12 play against those 3 teams, and then paired with Tech....

In a combined 31 meetings with OU, UT, and NB since the start of the BIG12, the Aggies are 10-21.

from 96-99 6-5, but there was no Bog Stoops, or Mac Brown......

from 00-04 1-11 ouch!

from 05-08 3-5 and 2 of which were over weak (compaired to) Texas and Neb teams.

Now put TECH in those records and you are 12-31!!!! wow.......

I like that you DO put Tech up there in this argument with OU, UT, and NB since you have been calling Tech "crap" all this time......

BYW Texas Tech does have 11 Conference Championships...... and they are JUST as relevent as your 1919 and 1939 championships if you want to bring THOSE up...... Although your "16" SWC titles were against teams like Houston, RICE, SMU, Baylor Etc....... see i can make YOUR Championships sound "MEANINGLESS just as easy..........

If you want to get right down to it Son, Texas Tech has the SAME number of Conference Championships if you figure in that 5 of your "16" came in BEFORE 1937, the year the NCAA seperated "Major" colleges out of smaller ones.....i.e. DIVI and Div II.....

I know the term Div 1 did not come in till later, but 1937 was the first year that colleges were separated due to size in football....

Only ONE team not located in Texas, and only 4 that are still DI..... what a "National Title" with all TEXAS teams....sheesh....

Again, what a line up.......

Those Titles are DEFINATLY Wort bringing up in 2008.......yeah.....

here is my prediction

A&M beats Tech this year....why? Karma

A&M has gone into Lubbock with a much better team (ranked #5) and lost...spoiling the high expectations

this year the tables are turned and Tech will have a better team and they must head to College Station....Tech thrives on the underdog role, which they won't be able to feed off of this year, the pressure will all be on Tech and paybacks suck the big one

And yes, i did think of that, and YES i am worried..... but i have to say that Good Karma HAS to come in somewhere... TEc ALWAYS looses a game they are favored in.... every year we loose to a TCU, 3-9 CU, UNT, NM, etc...... !?!??!?!? but there has to be ONE year that it doesn't happen.... and i think this year we could avoid it...

but it is scary.....
