Four days ago the Mets were coming off an 11-2 thumping of the Yankees and I thought they had finally turned the corner. The Mets moved into second place in the NL East, at 23-19, a game behind the Marlins. Since they we have been swept in four games by the Braves in which the problem was mainly lack of offensive production which I believe is due to the lack of patience. We swing and hit too early in at bats and thus, pitchers can go 7-8 innings against us. If Ryan Church had been in the lineup it would have helped, but its been utterly atrocious to see us play baseball. Now at 22-23, 4th in the NL East I ask you , who are you most mad at?
Many people are wondering if Willie will last past the All-Star Break, but Im not as frustrated with him as i am with Aaron Heilmann and Carlos Delgado.

getting ready to glog the Rockies game

go mets, because this is just sad.

I would have to say everyone, if Willie isnt going to fire people up, then the team has to and no one has stepped up except Wagner when he said something....and that didnt even work. This team is just going thru the motions and not playing like they give a crap...Maybe some do, but it is going to take an entire team effort to make this work and to turns things around...

Willie will be gone by Memorial day, if they dont win this Colorado series and tonight it hasnt started too well...

"then the team has to and no one has stepped up except Wagner when he said something....and that didnt even work. "

That's because Wagner said it to the media.  He didn't have the testicular fortitude to say it to anyone's face.  He waited for the people he was talking about to leave before he mouthed off.  That is Wagner's M.O.  It's a shame being a whinny B is evidently catchy.  I'm a Phillies fan but I had nothing but respect for David Wright, he's a great player.  But after he used the point the finger at the manager cop-out I have ZERO respect for him.  Funny, when the Phils were struggling last year they all defended their borderline retarded hillbilly manager with their last breath, maybe that shows why the won the division and the Mets didn't.  Players with pride and character will often beat players with more natural talent that lack loyalty and accountability.  Maybe the Mets should hire cheerleaders for David Wright so he can get more FIRED UP to do his job.

Luis Castillo hasn't been producing since we picked him up last year. We should have traded Ruben Gotay because I think that pushed him to be a little better. Now with only Damion Easley to back him up, he is slouching and we cant have that.

Lets turn this this around and actually make the playoffs. GO Mets !
